About The Photographer
Ryan D. Conrad began his career as a photojournalist at The Elkhart Truth newspaper in northern Indiana in 1986. He was a staff photographer at The Truth until January 2002 before accepting a position as a staff photographer at The News-Dispatch in Michigan City, Indiana. His work has gained recognition from The Hoosier State Press Association and The Indiana Associated Press. He was most recently awarded a first place for outstanding sports photography by the Indiana Associated Press. Ryan now focuses primarily on his on-location portrait and event photography.
Some of Ryan's clients include Akhia Public Relations, Taco Bell, and The Michigan City, IN, Chamber of Commerce. He shot cover art for several trade publications, including Corporate Legal Times magazine and In-Trust magazine. His work has also been published in Slate Magazine, Sports Illustrated for Kids, The Chicago Tribune, and The Chicago Sun-Times. Recently, several of Ryan's photos were selected to appear on MSNBC's "Week in Pictures."
